Support Act is a registered charity which was formed in 1997 to provide relief and assistance to members of the Australian music industry who are in need or suffering hardship, illness or distress. It was founded by the music industry's peak bodies ARIA, APRA, AMCOS and PPCA and raises funds through events and its members. John Paul Young To Be Presented With “Excellence In Community Support Award”
Sydney, Australia: On Wednesday, September 22, 2010, the
Australian music industry will gather at NSW Parliament
House for the annual MUSIC IN THE HOUSE luncheon to
celebrate the presentation of the EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNITY
SUPPORT Award. This luncheon attracts some of the biggest
names in the Australian music industry and this year is set
to be one of the biggest yet.

Country Music Kicks Off Support Act Endowment Fund
Support Act Limited (SAL) was this week presented with a
cheque for $35,000 by Board members from the Contemporary
Country Music Coalition (CCMC) representing Support Act’s
first *"Endowment Donation"*.
