What percentage of the money raised goes to "the cause" and how much to administration?
Support Act has adopted a policy of allocating up to 50% of it's yearly income to distribution in that year, leaving a residual pool for continuing and new grants in the following year. This guards against us not being able to continue necessary support where it has been granted should we encounter a period where our income is not what we expected and thus insufficient to meet the commitments that we have made to applicants. From gross monies earned in a Support Act organized or run event we pay all associated costs charged by outside suppliers /providers. With monies received from third parties there are no such costs. During the last financial year administrative costs (after allowing for the specific donations given to cover the cost of administration and case work staff) represented only 7.5% of net revenue after fundraising costs.
