Support Act SA Chair, David 'Daisy' Day
STATE NEWS: SUPPORT ACT SOUTH AUSTRALIA
David 'Daisy' Day attended the first ever conference of State Chairs for Support Act and found it very beneficial in meeting the Board, meeting up with all State Chairs and the sharing of ideas and commitments for 2010.
Daisy’s Debonairs lunch bunch continues to grow with over 200 members who come along to the Rob Roy hotel on the third Wednesday of each month.
For an entrance fee of just $10.00 members get to meet and greet a celebrity guest who is interviewed with a question and answer segment at the end. They also get to sample some great South Australian reds and whites kindly donated by the Rob Roy. Average meal price is around $15.00 so it’s a great occasion for little expense to the Deb’s.
On top of that we also manage to raise around $400.00 each time for Support Act.
Guests have included, Ross Wilson, John Swan, Doc Neeson, Brian Cadd, Jim Keayes, Johnny Mac, Peter Goers, Paul Thompson, Keith Potger, Adam Hills, Guy Pratt, Lionel Williams and Roger Cardwell (TV legends), blues guitarist Chris Finnen amongst others.
The South Australian Music Hall of Fame looks set to officially open mid Feb 2010 with part proceeds going to Support Act. Check out the action so far at www.samhf.com.au.
