Support Act Victoria committee members have emerged from hibernation during the silly season and are hard at work on the major event for the year, ‘The Lord Mayor's Command Performance’. As well as the official commitments from radio sponsors 3AW and Magic 1278, and hotel sponsor the Rendezvous Hotel, we are now pleased to advise that we have finalised a partnership deal for newspaper sponsorship with the Herald-Sun and we continue to enjoy significant support from the City of Melbourne Council.

Offers for major sponsorship and a top-class line-up of artists to perform at the event are now being sought. Please contact Keith Potger at salvic@supportact.com.au if you would like to make a commitment to assist Support Act Victoria with this event.

A variety of other music, dance and trivia events are programmed for 2010 to raise awareness of and funds for Support Act, and we will keep you updated as plans progress.

Support Act Victoria Chair Keith Potger would like to say thank you to all the committee members who in their own way contribute to the success of the Victoria Chapter. In alphabetical order of first names they are: Frank Howson, Garry Spry, Jill Moffitt, John Grant, John Swan, Julie Cavanagh, Mae Parker, Michael Snelson and Sara Hood. Keith says “There is a lot of good humour among us that travels alongside the work involved in being a volunteer for a charity such as Support Act. Part of this good humour revolves round the Debonairs' monthly lunches and we are indebted to Dom Barbuto for continuing to provide services and bonhomie to Support Act. May I also wish you all good tidings for 2010”.

Support Act Queensland Chair Wayne Budge and his team are keen to fill their places and if you would like to be involved, please email salqld@supportact.com.au for more information.
